Jim Burket

Jim Burket Jim was educated at Elmhurst College in Elmhurst, Illinois and has worked in the futures industry for nearly 25 years. In 1985 he left a menswear retail position in sales and merchandising to accept position as a runner on the Chicago Board of Trade grain floor. Eventually Jim worked his way up to becoming a clerk in the treasury bond futures pit and spent the next few years rotating between the agricultural and financial pits, gleaning valuable information about the ins and outs of the futures business.

After being offered a position to run the day to day futures trading operations for a large introducing broker, he moved to Atlanta, GA for three years. Jim met his future wife while visiting Chicago and decided to leave the South in 1990. Jim received an intriguing offer from Andy Daniels to join him at Linnco Futures upon his return to Chicago and they have worked together ever since.

Currently, Jim is Senior Vice President at Daniels Trading utilizing his extensive background in trade execution, brokerage and back office navigation. Daniels Trading has gone from a two man operation to its current position as one of the largest introducing brokers.

Daniels Trading, a commodity futures and options brokerage firm, offers both individual traders and institutional investors the option of executing their orders through a commodity broker, an automated trading system, or one of several self-directed online trading platforms.

Are Interest Rates the New Crypto?!

Just two months into 2021, ephemeral infatuations with Shiba Inu-based cryptocurrencies and video game retailers have subsided, but yields have continued to keep pace with more enduring trends like the bullish run in Bitcoin.
