Ms. Hughes began her career in the commodities industry in 1978 while working for the Chicago Mercantile Exchange in their Inspections and Deliveries Department. In 1980, Donna accepted a position with a leading pork belly hedger which would begin a 30+ year long career specializing in the hedging needs of individuals and corporations. In 2004, she moved to Texas and utilized her skills to help producers and corporations with their risk management goals. Donna supports the efforts of the Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Hedging and Master Marketer Programs to educate producers in modern risk management. Her daily Ag Commentaries can be heard on the AllAgNews.com Farm Radio Network and she is a featured Ag Commentator on the “Matt Smith Farm and Ranch Show” in Abilene, Texas. Donna also produces and reports the weekly Ag segments for KVII ABC-TV in Amarillo, Texas. Donna is active in her church and also serves on both the Amarillo Chamber of Commerce and Abilene Ag Committees. With her unique combination of experience and education, Donna is able to offer her clients a diverse platform in which to manage risk and reach their financial goals.
