Today’s MDA Update:
Published 1/18/18 8:10 am central:
Here you will find today’ bullish/bearish markets to start our today and where we are looking for longs and shorts. I have used several sorting features on the images to narrow down key bearish and bullish markets. We are seeing a few markets appear consecutively confirming their trends.
Yesterday we saw the British Pound on the Prime 3 Bull filter and it paid off well for those who participated and now we are seeing it on the Full Bull.
BULLISH Write Up: (Chart Below)
On the 60 Breakout today we are highlighting the Cocoa market as something to take action on. Also, we have highlighted the British pound again (full bull) and several new “Prime 3” Bull markets to look to get long, mini down and Soybean meal. On our Radar we have the NQ and S&P.
BEARISH Write Up: (Chart Below)
Looking at the bears, we are featuring the Sugar market again. This is continuing to make new levels and break lower. This is also our “Full Bear” market. On the Prime 3 we are looking at the 10yr and 30yr. These are markets I have highlighted sell zones in the past, we could be at a point to sell this on profile divergence or breaking out to join the downward trend. On our Bearish Radar, we have soybean oil.

HOW I USE MARKET ACTION PROFILE SCANNER:
I start my analysis each day to see what markets are making moves on this shorter time frame to see who is breaking out, or if counter-trend trades are setting up. Once I have an idea of these longer time frames (weekly, Daily, 240min, 60min) I then use my charts with the profile tools to locate my trading entries if they match the setups we discuss. This analysis often lead to the MDA SnapShot alerts I send out in the newsletter or to clients I speak with on the phone. Stay Tuned.
For those who are new to the newsletter, or would like a refresher on this Market Action Scanner tool that I am using, visit my MDA webinar live “Recast” page below or attend the live weekly event. I start every session looking at Scanner and go through this process. We even have free trials to this tool if you are not using it.
MDA MEMBER TIP:
If you are only used to trading one market and are unfamiliar with the new markets scanner presents, use the Futures Calculator to help figure out risk/reward on the trades

STOP ORDERS DO NOT NECESSARILY LIMIT YOUR LOSS TO THE STOP PRICE BECAUSE STOP ORDERS, IF THE PRICE IS HIT, BECOME MARKET ORDERS AND, DEPENDING ON MARKET CONDITIONS, THE ACTUAL FILL PRICE CAN BE DIFFERENT FROM THE STOP PRICE. IF A MARKET REACHED ITS DAILY PRICE FLUCTUATION LIMIT, A "LIMIT MOVE", IT MAY BE IMPOSSIBLE TO EXECUTE A STOP LOSS ORDER.
THE RISK OF LOSS IN TRADING COMMODITY FUTURES AND OPTIONS CONTRACTS CAN BE SUBSTANTIAL. THERE IS A HIGH DEGREE OF LEVERAGE IN FUTURES TRADING BECAUSE OF SMALL MARGIN REQUIREMENTS. THIS LEVERAGE CAN WORK AGAINST YOU AS WELL AS FOR YOU AND CAN LEAD TO LARGE LOSSES AS WELL AS LARGE GAINS.
