On Sunday afternoon I went over the price charts for my Swing Trader’s Insight advisory, looking for potential trades for Sunday night and Monday. I sent out two charts; I recommended looking to short the December Treasury Bond futures if they broke below the Friday low of 154-24. Here was the chart I sent yesterday.
The other trade I was look for was to short the Dec. Canadian Dollar futures if they broke below the Thursday low of 8173.5. Here’s the chart I sent yesterday for the Canadian.
Looking at today, here’s an intraday chart of what the T Bonds did.
Here’s another daily chart of the Canadian Dollar, with today’s bar included. I used a daily chart for the Canadian because it traded mainly sideways today until 1 PM CT, when Timothy Lane, Deputy Governor of the Bank of Canada, made comments to the effect that Canadian officials were concerned about the strength of the Canadian Dollar.
