With new subscribers coming on board every day, sometimes I get very similar questions and I forget that new followers might be unfamiliar with the product as a whole. Pulling the car over, from time to time, to help explain can be beneficial for everyone.
The Formation Finders: What they are and how you should use them
There are chart formations and market set-ups forming all the time. In every market…every day!
Some charts I send out with a direct Trade Idea presented with trade parameters to highlight a particular set-up and show you ways that action can be taken. These levels are not set in stone and can always be tweaked based on your individual trading styles (closer stops, quicker objectives, use of options vs hard stops, etc) Some charts I send out as a Formation Finder with the goal of highlighting a particular set-up where I believe a trade opportunity exists and should have your attention.
Some days its easy to send out a trade idea and manage it for a few days, other days a quick show in a Formation Finder-style email is all I can get to due to time constraints and market volatility.
That said, although it is not possible for all of them to be accompanied with direct trade recommendations, that doesn’t make any one set-up or formation less important than others. The charts and price action alerts that are sent out in these Formation Finder emails are meant for trading. Think of them as YOUR TIME TO SHINE with levels of your choosing based on what you know and strategies we have employed in the past.
My primary goal with this newsletter always is to put chart formations and market set-ups in front of you throughout the day and to highlight potential moves in the markets that you may be interested in trading. There are many technical formations that occur each day and pinpointing them for trading is key for any trader, this is where the newsletter provides value. Keeping your head on a swivel and alerting you to markets that you otherwise may have missed is the objective. The action that is taken afterwards, while encouraged, is completely up to you.
I hope this helps you use The Cullen Outlook emails most effectively.
