This is a sample entry from John Payne’s newsletter, This Week in Grain, published on June 19, 2013.
Anyone else notice a pattern? Bulls must not like trading during the first trading week of the month. Corn prices have sold off every month during the last trading day of the month or the first week of the next month, every month since November. I think hedgers and speculators need to be ready to get some sort of short coverage on the books before the stocks/plantings report at the end of next week, especially if the open interest in corn continues to go higher.
