I have provided 2 snap shot opportunities on the 30 Min ES chart in the past 24 hours. These were e-mailed to subscribers of the Market Dimensions Advisory newsletter. For those who are familiar with my methodology, you understand that there have been actually 4 entry opportunities on the ES 30 minute Chart. We have been fortunate in being able to position ourselves on the right side of the ES market to take advantage of this bullish move in the last 24 hours leading up to the Fed Meeting.
I wanted to highlight these levels for my subscribers as a learning opportunity or as a starting point of for those who are unfamiliar, want to learn, and understand the trading setups I provide in the snap shot updates.
It is impossible for me to maintain my brokerage service duties and update every move in these markets. So my goal with a Snap Shot is to highlight something I see in real-time in a variety of different markets, different time frames, with the hope that the subscribers and traders following will use that as the starting point or confirmation to their trading decision-making processes. The goal is to have you grow as a trader and learn to do this on your own with me as your support and Daniels Trading as your technology provider. For those who feel like they are on the sidelines, my intentions are to get you comfortable over time to play ball. Either with me executing your trades or teaching you to do it on your own with our dt Pro platform.
Back to the ES 30 min chart. I highlighted 2 entries in my emails but wanted to show what opportunities have presented themselves in this market. Results obviously may vary from trader to trader, but if you were to follow the trading rules in place for these Snap Shot trades, this is what you could have potentially experienced following the 30 minute ES in the past 24 hours. I pinpointed Entry #1 12/14/15 via email as well as Entry #4 12/15/15 via email in my most recent MDA Snap Shot.
Entry 1: Buy @ 2006.50 +38.75 pts or $1937 (before fees)
Entry 2: Buy @ 2016.50 +28.75 pts or $ 1437 (before fees)
Entry 3: Buy @ 2027.00 +18.25 pts or $912.50 (before fees)
Entry 4: Buy @ 2041.50 +3.75 pts or $187.50 (before fees)
Risk: Notice the Trailing stop below bottom boxes along the entire life of the trade.
Whether you took all of these as “re-entry” trades or “position adds” that would have been your call as a trader. That depends on the margin available in your account as well as your comfort with risk. If you were fortunate to have taken all of these signals you could potentially be holding +89pts or $4474 (before fees) on four trades in the E-mini S&P market, at the time of this update.

STOP ORDERS DO NOT NECESSARILY LIMIT YOUR LOSS TO THE STOP PRICE BECAUSE STOP ORDERS, IF THE PRICE IS HIT, BECOME MARKET ORDERS AND, DEPENDING ON MARKET CONDITIONS, THE ACTUAL FILL PRICE CAN BE DIFFERENT FROM THE STOP PRICE. IF A MARKET REACHED ITS DAILY PRICE FLUCTUATION LIMIT, A "LIMIT MOVE", IT MAY BE IMPOSSIBLE TO EXECUTE A STOP LOSS ORDER.
THE RISK OF LOSS IN TRADING COMMODITY FUTURES AND OPTIONS CONTRACTS CAN BE SUBSTANTIAL. THERE IS A HIGH DEGREE OF LEVERAGE IN FUTURES TRADING BECAUSE OF SMALL MARGIN REQUIREMENTS. THIS LEVERAGE CAN WORK AGAINST YOU AS WELL AS FOR YOU AND CAN LEAD TO LARGE LOSSES AS WELL AS LARGE GAINS.
