Miles Dunbar

Miles Dunbar

Miles Dunbar is the Managing Director for Daniels Trading - California. Miles directs the Automated Strategies Team, performing due diligence, vetting, and evaluating new and existing strategies as well as helping to guide the Trade Desk activities.

Miles started his career in the futures industry in 1994 when he signed on with Omega Research as a technical support representative for TradeStation software.  After showing a propensity for Easy Language, the trading strategy development language in TradeStation, he traveled the world for Omega Research, assisting all levels of traders and professional money mangers in developing trading strategies.  After becoming product manager of TradeStation, he was integral in the product transition of Dow Jones Telerate.  He worked with John Murphy at CNBC in integrating TradeStation charts into the networks on air commentary.  After assisting many market gurus at their own seminars, Miles became a speaker at many industry seminars such as TAG, Futures West, Omega World and Traders Expo.

In 1998, after leaving Omega Research Miles worked for a Commodity Pool Operator developing mechanical trading strategies and assisting in the day to day trading operations.  Starting in 1999 Miles moved on to publish one of the largest commodity and futures newsletters in the industry, Commodity Timing.

Miles took the next step in his career in 2003 and became the Chief Technology Officer for Trade Center, a commodity brokerage firm specializing in the use of automated trading strategies.  Using his knowledge in trading systems, Miles developed The Edge, a tool for analyzing trading systems.

In 2011 Trade Center was acquired by Daniels Trading and Miles joined the executive team at Daniels Trading as a Director of Automated Strategies of the new California operation. 

An accomplished equestrian, Miles and is wife have several horses and enjoy training and showing Hunter/Jumpers.  He enjoys spending time with his family and his 2 year old daughter already has her own pony.
