Joseph G. Bridges - Joe - grew up in the mountains of North Carolina and is a product of the North Carolina university system where he majored in management. Competitive by nature Joe played and excelled at Baseball, Basketball and Football and has remained in competitive arenas, such as trading the markets, as an adult.
After being introduced to the futures markets during a summer tour of the Midwest in 1979, Joe began trading a simple "volatility breakout" system in the Gold markets in the early 80's. The system initially worked well but as volatility declined with Gold prices it became apparent that more than one approach would be needed for long-term success,
At that time Joe began to study alternative methods of trading and analysis, finally focusing the bulk of his research on the analysis of statistical probabilities and price pattern analysis. Areas that have proven to be fertile ground over the years.
Somewhat gifted in math and typically an original thinker, Joe realized early in his trading career that relying on indicators or oscillators currently in the public domain was most likely a bad idea so he began to develop proprietary methods, techniques and approaches for creating position bias, as well as entry, exit and timing techniques.
Joe moved to the Chicago area in 1985 and has resided there since. During that period he has exhibited a wide variety of skills from managing high volume retail divisions and providing custom execution services for both institutional and accredited individuals. He's also provided custom analytical solutions for private clients as well as custom software and system solutions in both TradeStation and Excel.
